Laser hair removal is a process that follows the natural renewal cycle of your skin. Since hairs do not grow simultaneously, complete removal requires a strategic approach, adapted to three growth phases:
- ANAGEN PHASE (active growth): The hair is directly connected to the root. This is the crucial moment when the laser can permanently destroy the follicle.
- CATAGEN PHASE (transitional phase): The hair separates from the root, so laser energy does not reach the target tissue.
- TELOGEN PHASE (resting phase): The follicle is dormant before a new growth cycle and is not susceptible to laser light in this phase.
Since only approximately 15–20% of your hairs are in the active growth phase, a single treatment cannot achieve a final result.
